Recognising the need to strengthen examination systems and preserve public confidence, the Government of India has initiated significant reforms to modernise and secure the country's examination ecosystem.
The Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports called for comprehensive reforms to strengthen governance, operational processes, accountability, and public confidence in the conduct of public examinations.

For decades, examination authorities have built robust operational processes that have enabled examinations to be conducted at an extraordinary scale. The task now is to reinforce them.
The challenge is not to replace processes built over decades. It is to strengthen the stages that are most vulnerable while preserving the workflows authorities, invigilators, and candidates already know and trust.
